It never ceases to amaze me how truly fast time flies.  I had a great time with Kim, Mason & Avery last week to do a quick session for Avery’s first birthday.  I can’t believe she’s a year old already!  I’m going to be honest-Avery is not the easiest thing to photograph.  She is far too busy to just sit and be cute!  Mom was hoping to get some outdoor shots but the weather here in Northern Nevada has been anything but ideal.  Can’t wait to get out in another month or so for some fun sibling shots with Avery and her brother!  Enjoy these for now~

Dresden Jay Kornahrens was born Saturday, January 9th at 3:16pm.  He weighed in at 6lb. 14oz. and was 19in. long.  I waited in the lobby with his big sister, Kamryn, and took the above photo when he was about 3 minutes new.  Not only is Dresden my nephew-he is also little Gavin’s cousin.  You can definitely see the resemblance in these little guys!  I got to spend the first week of his life with him at their home in Folsom, California which meant that I had many opportunities to get him in front of my camera.  This is one busy little guy who LOVES his binky so getting still photos without it was quite the task.  I had fun either way and can’t wait to get the cousins together to get some shots of them both.  Like Gavin, look forward to lots and lots of images of this adorable little guy in the future.  For now, enjoy Dresden’s first week.

Meet Gavin Mitchell Kornahrens!  Jay and Teresa couldn’t be happier with their healthy baby boy.  Gavin was born Monday, December 7th at 11:55 am.  He weighed 7 1/2 lbs and was 21 1/2 in. Melissa and I had the awesome opportunity to take his first photos the other day.  Other than a few brief moments of hunger Gavin was the perfect little model! Enjoy these first few shots and expect many more of him in the future.
