Meet Sarah. I have had these photos edited for some time now. Sitting in a folder waiting to be put on my site. Don’t ask why I haven’t gotten around to posting them-I suppose there aren’t enough hours in the day! Either way, here we are. Sarah is my daughter’s hair dresser and when she found out that I’m trying to get more into Boudoir Photography she was more than willing to be a test subject. We headed down to the Atlantis here in Reno and borrowed one of their awesome suites for the afternoon. We had so much fun! Sarah is one of the hottest mamas I know. Enjoy some of the PG rated shots that I can share online!

Or not! Meet the guys of Monkey Pinata. Jason, Dave & Jon are just about to drive the country in an RV stopping at any venue that will have them. They are definitely hardcore! I had a great time hanging out in the Nevada desert by the railroad tracks not far from my house that are littered with abandoned cars. These guys are a blast to be around and I can’t wait to see how their summer adventure goes!

Double Trouble

Actually, these two are as sweet as can be. I’ve been lucky enough to watch them grow from the day they were born and I love them to death. Portia and Parris both have personalities sky high and can hold their own. They will be 3 in July and are kids 9 and 10 in a crazy fun family. Eden Thome and I had a great time taking them out a few weeks ago to get a few shots of the two of them. Parris was a lot more comfortable with the camera but Portia warmed up and we got some images that we hope their parents will love. I have ton of sessions to catch up on so I’ll just post a few-Enjoy!

I took the Andersons out for some family photos a couple of weeks ago. What a blast. This family is so much fun. Nancy wanted some photos of the family before Justin goes to bootcamp at the end of July. A bittersweet reason for family photos for sure. We had several silly outtakes but these are my favorites from the afternoon~

Beauty

My mom told me not too long ago that she used to quietly wish that her daughters weren’t so pretty. She thought maybe then she wouldn’t see so many boys around our house. Or hear about so many silly little teenage crushes. Or sympathize when our hearts were broken. There were 4 of us girls in the house. Poor lady! My girls are 8 years apart in age and so far we’ve been lucky to have such a level headed teenager the first time around. We are holding our breath for the second time around! Caitlyn is 16 and I have to say- she is beautiful. And how fitting is it that she looks just like my mom. The one who always worried about her own daughters now has a granddaughter that I know she worries about just as much. I think I’m a lot luckier, though, because my daughter is showing to be a lot stronger in both her faith and her convictions than I ever was. Thank God for that!

Already A Year

It never ceases to amaze me how truly fast time flies. I had a great time with Kim, Mason & Avery last week to do a quick session for Avery’s first birthday. I can’t believe she’s a year old already! I’m going to be honest-Avery is not the easiest thing to photograph. She is far too busy to just sit and be cute! Mom was hoping to get some outdoor shots but the weather here in Northern Nevada has been anything but ideal. Can’t wait to get out in another month or so for some fun sibling shots with Avery and her brother! Enjoy these for now~

Meet the Johnsons. I met them one afternoon at Rancho San Rafael for a quick family session a couple of weeks ago. Miss M. is cute as can be. She wasn’t quite sitting up on her own when we met so I’m looking forward to meeting them again for either a summer session or a 1 year session. Enjoy!

Melissa Vossler and I had the awesome opportunity to do our first couples boudoir session with some friends of mine a couple of weeks ago. Nate and Christa were married this past August and are so in love it shows! The session was totally relaxed and full of laughter. I went away so happy with the outcome and so ready to do another session like it. I will share a few that have been cropped to make the post at least PG rated. Enjoy!

Meet Dresden

Dresden Jay Kornahrens was born Saturday, January 9th at 3:16pm. He weighed in at 6lb. 14oz. and was 19in. long. I waited in the lobby with his big sister, Kamryn, and took the above photo when he was about 3 minutes new. Not only is Dresden my nephew-he is also little Gavin’s cousin. You can definitely see the resemblance in these little guys! I got to spend the first week of his life with him at their home in Folsom, California which meant that I had many opportunities to get him in front of my camera. This is one busy little guy who LOVES his binky so getting still photos without it was quite the task. I had fun either way and can’t wait to get the cousins together to get some shots of them both. Like Gavin, look forward to lots and lots of images of this adorable little guy in the future. For now, enjoy Dresden’s first week.

Meet Gavin Mitchell Kornahrens! Jay and Teresa couldn’t be happier with their healthy baby boy. Gavin was born Monday, December 7th at 11:55 am. He weighed 7 1/2 lbs and was 21 1/2 in. Melissa and I had the awesome opportunity to take his first photos the other day. Other than a few brief moments of hunger Gavin was the perfect little model! Enjoy these first few shots and expect many more of him in the future.
